This really illustrates for me the power of painting less but being aware of much more of the emotional narrative that atmosphere communicates. With so much work being done on photoshop these days we have an epidemic of detail that isn't driven by narrative. This is an inspiring post.

ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful, I have trouble with negative space in my painting, this is very inspiring as to what the background can do for a piece of art.
